Cons: The industry only seems to implement proven technologies and is slow to progress.

Cons: It is not like the engineering I thought I would be doing based on what schooling was like.

Pros: The company is a very good place to be. There are some departments that are doing cutting edge work. But, for the most part, there is nothing new here. Everything has been done before.
Cons: My work does not involve any technical aspects of engineering. It is pure paperwork with a little bit of analysis thrown here and there. The heavy technical stuff we learned in school is useless at this place. I feel unchallenged here, in technical terms. The challenges are more social. How to make old geezers working efficiently etc.
